Mangonel

Room 5 have been making mangonels.  Ours came 2nd. Charle and ollie came 1st .
I was with Jasper and Oliver P.  Ours went 9  metres. Jaspers dad Huup helped us.
Paige and Cooper's went 5.5 metres. Charle and Ollie's catapult went 10 metres.

BYOD Argument

This term we have been learning to write arguments.  Here is my argument about Bringing Your Own Devices (BYOD) to school.

Dear Board of Trustees,

I strongly agree that we should have Bring Your Own Devices ( BYOD) at Nelson Central School.   BYOD is when kids bring their own device to school such as ipads ipods tablets laptops.  They connect to school wireless and use their device for learning.

One reason for BYOD is that you can learn on them. For example you can use them for games such as minecraft and study ladder and play these games.

Secondly kids have fun playing on devices you can lean on them. They can play maths games and you can make your own videos. Using devices makes learning fun.

Third reason is that IPADS IPODs and Tablets cost the school a lot of money.  To pay for one device for each child would cost the school over $200,000. Finally using devices will help children to know more in the future.   We will have more things to publish our things on for example  publish on blogger  or making movies.

In conclusion I strongly believe that NCS should have BYOD because it will save the school a lot of money.  I hope that you choose BYOD for Nelson Central School.

My holiday

 I went on a boat to Stewart Island. When we got there it was pouring down with rain and all  our stuff  got  wet so we put our stuff in a yacht.  It took our stuff  to our house.The next  day my dad went shark diving
luckily  he came back alive.
